What We Value

Positive & Respectful Relationships

A quality grooming experience starts with a trusting relationship between the animal and the groomer. Our team prioritizes your pet’s psychological well-being as well as the physical, ensuring that grooming becomes an easeful and comfortable process for all involved.

Continuing Education

We are committed to providing the best care possible to all of the pets who come through our doors, which is why our team consistently receives continuing education on grooming techniques and animal psychology.

Highest Quality Grooms

Our groomers compete in regional and national grooming competitions, frequently bringing home top awards. When you get a groom at Blossom Pet Salon, you can be confident that you are truly getting a high-quality groom.

Transparency & Honesty

It is important to us that we partner with you to explain the care your pet receives and to have a trusting relationship that values open communication and honesty with the shared goal of your pet’s well-being.

Services that Meet Each Pet’s Needs

We offer services many grooming salons do not, such as carding, hand stripping, and hand scissoring, in addition to options for service add-ons, so that your pet can receive the care they truly need.

Advocacy

We use our education and experience to be advocates for your pet, speaking for their needs and helping pet owners to better understand how to properly care for them.

Meet the Team

LINDSEY
Groomer

  • Lindsey has been a dog groomer since 2017. Her passion for grooming started all the way back when she was 13. She learned to groom her childhood rescue dog, Eva, who was very afraid of new people. She loves being able to work with dogs everyday and create a safe and fun space for them to be in! One of her favorite things to do as a groomer is work with puppies for their first haircut. She tries to make it the most comfortable experience for them. She is excited to learn new skills and perfect the ones she has.

MARCI WANTA
Founder & Groomer

  • Marci started grooming in 2019. She discovered the world of competitive grooming in 2021. She is a nationally award winning competitor with experience in everyday pet grooms and breed standard grooming for a multitude of breeds. She is passionate about creating a space where dogs and employees can thrive and blossom; and where pet parents can expect the highest quality grooms. She enjoys teaching and encourages continuing education for herself, her employees, and her clients.

SAM
Groomer Apprentice

  • Sam has had dogs her whole life and loves everything about them. She used to show dogs through the Iowa County dog project in agility, obedience, rally, and showmanship. She is now a youth leader and agility coach. She has two dogs: Lucky and Koda. She also dog sits! She loves learning new grooming skills.

MYRANDA
Bather

  • Myranda started her journey with dogs in 2013 where she worked in a boarding kennel in her hometown. After graduating high school, Myranda started working at a fear-free daycare and boarding facility where she worked her way up to a management position and her passion for compassionate care took off. She worked there for 9 years, learning dog behaviors and fear-free methods to handling dogs. She is so excited to learn how to make each dog’s experience the best during their grooming!

KELSEY
Office Manager & Receptionist

  • Kelsey has worked with dogs for the last five years as a daycare attendant and manager at a dog daycare. While working there she loved to get to know each dog and pet parent and treated each dog as if they were family. Kelsey is looking forward to learning more about dogs in grooming environment and helping provide a positive experience at the salon!

HAILEY
Bather

  • Hailey has been in love with dogs ever since she was a kid. She has been working with dogs for over 3 years and enjoys learning new things about them to help ensure a comfortable experience and safe environment. She is new to the grooming community and is excited to start learning new skills!
